My Original Marquetry

My work my own designs

I try to capture the essence of the subject, be it a bird, a flower, plant or figure, whilst only using natural wood and other materials. I do not use paint or burning, instead using the natural colours and wood grain. Instead of inserting putty to create lines I insert a filligree of wood.

Restoration

I restore wooden furniture, with a speciality in marquetry and inlay. My approach is to respect and preserve as much of the original as possible, using the techniques and materials that would have been used by the original craftsman.

I create unique pieces with a modern feel using the tools and methods of traditional craftsmen.
